Amit Singh to Announce Fundraising Goal for March
Arlington, Virginia – On Friday evening the Amit Singh for Congress Campaign will announce its
planned fundraising goal for the month of March at a campaign rally in Arlington. Singh is seeking
the Republican nomination for Virginia's 8th district.
"We've got some great people volunteering their time for the campaign," said Singh. "What we're doing now is using those people to get things in motion to raise money and so far the response has been tremendous."
Before he can challenge the democratic incumbent in November, Singh must first secure the party's nomination in the June 10th primary. Up until now the focus of the campaign has been gathering support and planning strategy.
"Whenever there is a primary, candidates need to establish they are a contender in the general election," said Campaign Manager Steve Bierfeldt. "Amit Singh needs to prove to the voters of Virginia's 8th district that he is capable of raising money, and he'll do that on Friday.
A strong supporter of personal liberty, lower taxes, and limited government, Singh believes he stands an excellent chance to win the general election in what is traditionally accepted as a district heavily favored for the Democratic Party. "I feel my views on less government regulation and responsible spending are ideas so central to the Republican Party," Singh stated. "I also believe that message will resonate with many registered Democrats and I can win in November."
On Friday Singh will speak to supporters at a rally in Arlington to discuss the future of his campaign in Virginia's 8th Congressional District. The event will take place at 1021 North Garfield St. and last from 7:00-9:00pm. Approximately 25 people are expected to attend.
